Osage County Republican Committee Returns Filing Fees to Six Candidates – Nomination Not Granted

Linn, Missouri – The Osage County Republican Central Committee (OCRC) has returned filing fee checks to six candidates who did not complete the required nomination process, including vetting.

The candidates are:

  • Brooke Dudenhoeffer (County Clerk)
  • Maryann Jacquin (Circuit Clerk)
  • Sonya Brandt (Associate Circuit Judge)
  • Amanda Grellner (Prosecuting Attorney)
  • Denise Nolte (County Collector)
  • Carrie Muenks (County Recorder)

As the committee did not grant nomination, these individuals may not appear on the Republican primary ballot for the August 2026 election. Letters were sent to each candidate returning their checks, with copies provided to the Osage County Clerk instructing her not to place their names on the ballot (per RsMO 115.357.5: “No candidate’s name shall be printed on any official ballot until the required fee has been paid”).

OCRC Chairwoman Linda Rantz stated: “Our nomination process ensures candidates align with conservative principles and the Missouri Republican Party Platform. It is the committee’s sole authority to decide who receives nomination for the Republican ticket. We remain open to any candidate who completes the process by the March 29 deadline.”
