Privacy Policy

Last Updated: January 13, 2026

The Osage County Republican Central Committee (“OCRC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates https://osagecountyrepublicans.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Site or interact with our services, including online forms.

We are committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with applicable laws. This policy applies solely to information collected on the Site. By using the Site, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Who We Are

Our website address is: OsageCountyRepublicans.com

Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide through forms on the Site, such as:

  • Contact forms (name, email, phone, message).
  • Email subscription form (name, email, zip code).
  • Candidate Vetting Request Form (Part 1) — name, email, phone, address, candidacy details (office sought, etc.), and any other information you submit.

We may also collect technical data automatically, such as IP address, browser type, and device information, for site security, analytics, and spam prevention (via tools like reCAPTCHA).

We do not currently enable user registration, comments, or file/media uploads on the Site. If we add these features in the future, this policy will be updated accordingly.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Respond to inquiries or communications.
  • Process email or newsletter subscriptions and send updates (typically 1 per month, or urgent notices).
  • Review and process candidate vetting requests (Part 1), including notifying you of status and coordinating with REPACCMO for Part 2.
  • Improve the Site and prevent abuse (e.g., spam detection).

Vetting data is used solely for internal committee purposes to assess alignment with Republican principles per our bylaws. We do not sell or rent personal data.

Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies for site functionality (e.g., form sessions). Third-party services like Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies for spam protection. You can manage cookies via your browser settings.

Embedded Content & Third-Party Services

The Site may include links to external sites (e.g., REPACCMO vetting page). These sites have their own privacy policies. REPACCMO handles their questionnaire data independently; we receive only pass/fail notifications (CC on emails) and access to answers after they become public.

Sharing Your Data

We may share limited information about candidates who successfully complete our vetting process (both Part 1 and Part 2) for public transparency and voter education purposes. This includes:

  • Publishing a list of candidates who pass vetting (e.g., names, offices sought, and status) on our website or related pages.
  • Identifying elected officials who passed vetting (e.g., with a badge or notation on a public page).

Such sharing is limited to pass status and basic public information; we do not disclose detailed personal data (e.g., contact details or non-relevant public record review notes) unless required by law or necessary to respond to public claims or challenges regarding the vetting process.

We do not currently plan to publicly share information about candidates who do not pass vetting (including questionnaire responses or public record details), but the Committee reserves the right to do so in the future — for example, to defend the fairness of a decision in response to public statements or appeals — as determined necessary for party purposes. Any such disclosure would be limited to relevant information and handled in accordance with applicable laws.

Other sharing occurs only as necessary:

  • With service providers (e.g., email/hosting platforms) under confidentiality obligations.
  • For legal compliance, to protect rights, or in response to valid requests (e.g., subpoena).
  • In vetting coordination: Pass/fail notifications are shared with REPACCMO (via their process), and we receive CC notifications from them.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third-party advertisers or for commercial purposes.

Data Retention

Form submissions are retained as long as necessary for the purpose (e.g., vetting processing, email or newsletter management). Email/newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. We delete or anonymize data when no longer needed.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by contacting us. We will respond promptly, subject to legal obligations (e.g., retaining vetting records for compliance).

Children’s Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted here with the updated date.
